Faculty Higher Secondary School (FHSS) was conceived as an idea by Mrs. Banti Bhuyan, who strongly felt the paucity of good schools in private sector and from this strong conviction the embryo of the school was born and through the efforts of Mr. Pradip Kumar Bhuyan, a modest non-profit trust – Osom Educational Trust (OET) was formed to set up a school under its umbrage, and Faculty High School was started in hired premises at Ambari, Guwahati, Assam on 2nd Jan 1982.
